Interactive design is about creating technology that a user is able to interact with such as Global Positioning Systems, Personal Digital Assistants, Games, Animations and Web Sites. To create an effective design, designers often put themselves in place of the potential user to gain an understanding of what is required of the design, they then design according these needs so that the user will be able to make the most of the technology. Interactive design creates efficiency and increases the ability for a user to reach their goals.
